The Stats
The task of fulfilling the Great Commission is immense, yet the global church possesses the resources to accomplish it. Today, over 3 billion people live among unreached people groups, representing more than 40% of the world’s population. Despite this, only 1% of all mission funds and 3% of missionaries are directed toward these groups. This imbalance reveals a critical need to realign our priorities and resources with Christ’s command to make disciples of all nations.
Missionaries and gospel workers face significant challenges—burnout, lack of funding, and overwhelming needs. Nearly one-third leave the field within their first decade, often due to preventable reasons. At the same time, the financial disparity is striking: Christians collectively earn over $53 trillion annually, yet a mere fraction of this is dedicated to reaching the unreached. The need is urgent, but the potential impact is extraordinary. If just 0.03% of evangelical income were redirected, the Great Commission could be within reach.
